Day 10: Onboard Exercise Class and Patisserie Experience

Today was a slower day for the girls as I had to get things started for Polly’s cake so they have time to set before the big day. It doesn’t seem to matter that we are in lockdown and not having a party as such (her 2 cousins are popping round for some socially distanced fun in the garden which apparently includes a pop concert 🙈) she still wants an elaborate affair consisting of 12 Tsum Tsum characters on top of a castle themed cake (castle theme isn’t a definite yet luckily!) Still, I’m not grumbling as she should be celebrating her birthday in Disney and hasn’t grumbled once, so a cake seems like the least I can do.

The girls decided they needed to up their exercise game, so Polly asked to be left alone whilst she went to Joan something for Winnie. This left Winnie as my helper while I started Polly’s cake bits, and as those of you with 7 year olds know how helpful they actually are, you can imagine the situation! Luckily, Polly returned around 30 minutes later, bright red and in just her pants because she was apparently boiling! It turns out she’s made a Just Dance game for Winnie with dances to all the songs from Suite Life the Musical (something they are working on most days!!) It was really cute and Winnie loved dancing along to them.

After lunch I let the girls have a go at their own Tsum Tsum cake decorations. Polly chose Chewie and Russel and Winnie opted for Anna and Rapunzel. They did them entirely by themselves (my multi-coloured icing covered floor is proof!) and I think they did a great job. And I finally got finished in time for tea! Yay!

Apparently tomorrow is a day in France. I hope they have sewing machines there as those dresses still haven’t been made!
