Hello to you all! Thank you for visiting our blog page. Although I’ll be running the page, it will predominantly focus on the adventures of the two little ladies in my life, Doodle (aka Polly, age 7 but about to turn 8 during our upcoming trip) and Peg (aka Winnie, age 6 but about turn 6.5 during our upcoming trip…the joys of having one school holiday baby and one non-school holiday baby!!) in our most favourite of happy places, Disney World.
I have been making clothes for the girls’ trips for a few years now, and had lots of interest in my blogs based around them on various Disney Facebook pages, so thought I’d set up this page. Hopefully you’ll enjoy reading about what we all get up to.
Thanks again, and have a magical day!

Hello im going to ask the boring question of when you get back home could you explain a bit more about how you do the booking process and change the dates etc please? If you don’t mind. Im trying to figure out how we can squeeze as much out of our next trip (prob 2021) as we can but always dinner packages with virgin in the past.

Hi!
We always book our hotel directly through Disney when free dining is released if we are staying onsite (if off-site or a mixture, we still book the hotel first and then wait until we’ve booked flights before booking the villa/ other hotels!)
Usually the deposit is £50 per person and you can pay the hotel balance off in chunks or in full by the due date (which I think is around 6 weeks before you travel but I can’t renember exactly).
When flights are released I then use various flight comparison sites to check flights for dates on and around those we are hoping to travel on (if it’s within a shorter school holiday there is obviously less room for movement but in the summer we are often more flexible). I also check directly on Virgin Atlantic as you can search 3 days either side of your chosen dates to immediately see which is the cheapest option (or also shows you the cost of different classes which can be very surprising. For instance, this year by flying indirect back we managed to get upper class flights for only £150 each and the flights we met still within our budget!) We set a budget we are happy to pay which varies based on the time of the year, and if we find flights within that that we are happy with I book and don’t look back! You can also check on Virgin holidays for fly drives as they occasionally come in cheaper (we did this last tear even though we didn’t collect the car) and those are payable in instalments rather than most others where you pay upfront.
Once flights are in place we then phone Disney to amend our dates to fit within them (I check on the page first to see if our chosen accommodation is available for them and also make sure I have a back up option just in case). Finally we book any off site/ other hotel components as once flights are booked your dates are pretty much fixed.
The other option is to use an independent travel agent such as
https://www.facebook.com/kinatravelcounsellor/ who receives amazing reviews and does all the legwork for you.
Please let me know if you need more details on any aspect!
