On our final Grand Floridian day we decided to head to Hollywood Studios. The buses have been really hit and miss here, with the time showing on the app/ screen rarely matching the time they actually arrived, but one finally arrived and we were in the park for rope drop.

Our plans to do Runaway Railway and Slinky in early morning hours failed as both they and Rose were down, so Polly rode Tower of Terror with both me and Steve separately before we set off to meet the live action Little Mermaid. On the way we noticed that Runaway Railway was just opening up, so jumped straight on. We got stuck 3 times during the ride though, once for about 5 minutes in the cyclone room, so came off rather windswept.

We then met Ariel and Chewbacca, and watched the Mickey shorts before heading to the Indiana Jones show.

Winnie’s been terrified of fire up until recently, so the girls have never seen it, but as they are currently going through a phase of playing it constantly with Winnie even sleeping with her dress-up hat, we thought it was a must!

We got great seats right in the front centre and really enjoyed the show. Afterwards we went to meet Indy and as he was chatting to us Marion came over which made Winnie’s day. Guess what outfits I’m making next!

Rise was showing as up so we decided to head round to it, but when we got there it was down again so we decided to head home instead and go back another day for everything we’d missed. As we were walking through Galaxy’s Edge Chewie and Rey came out and told the girls to walk with them which they loved.

They then decided they were hungry. Our first thought was to do the Hollywood Brown lounge, but as the seats are outside and it was hotter than the surface of the sun today, we decided to try Prime Time as the girls fancied non-fried stuff. It was actually really nice (maybe we were just happy to be cool!) and didn’t cost the earth either.

We decided to head back for the bus, but had promised Winnie a new Indiana Jones hat, so picked that up on the way out.

A few hours in the pool before a storm stopped play (although we never saw any rain), a bit of marshmallow toasting and fireworks from the harbour with my olds made for a lovely afternoon. We’re off on the Wish tomorrow so I’ll let you know how that goes once we get back (and see whether I can actually relax!)
