Today was a bit more chilled as we decided to head to Typhoon Lagoon. The girls (and a Steve!) stayed asleep until around 9 so we got dressed straight away and headed there in time for it to open at 10. We opted for an Uber as it was quickest, and only cost $8 plus tip.
It was clear it was going to be a busy day at the water park (it’s been crazy busy everywhere crowd wise this week) so we made a plan of the rides the girls really wanted to do and headed straight to them. Their favourite was Crush n Gusher which they did 3 times. By the time they’d done the slides, Lazy River, and wave pool it was almost 3 and as the sun was blazing, we decided to call it a day and head back to the hotel to cool down.
We had no plans for tea so decided to get changed and take the boat to Disney Springs to chance it. We had to wait ages in the blazing heat for a boat, and then because was completely full we were squashed and sweaty for the journey which wasn’t ideal when Disney Springs is the hottest place on earth!! It was also crazy busy so after 15 minutes of fairly aimless wandering we reached boiling point (literally) then Polly came up with an idea to get to bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge to eat in Sanaa Lounge. Now, in the past we’ve had terrible luck with buses from Disney Springs, but we decided to give it a go and amazingly we waited less than 5 minutes before we were on our way.
We really like Sanaa lounge. After 5 it has the same menu as the restaurant, but we find it more relaxing and don’t feel so bad for just ordering the bread service or sharing meals. There were only bar seats left when we arrived and we thought the girls may not be allowed to sit at them, but they were fine, and we had a really lovely time eating all the bread (the barman questioned whether we’d eat 2 full bread services plus meals…he clearly doesn’t know us well!!) We decided to get an Uber back to the hotel afterwards and have a relatively early night ready for an early Cape May breakfast tomorrow. For saying it was supposedly a more relaxing day, we are all shattered!!
