Today was the day we planned to get all the festive bits at Epcot done. The girls also wanted to head to Magic Kingdom for the 3pm parade as we had Hollywood Studios booked tomorrow and there were no passes left for any parks to switch, so that’s what we planned.

At 7am I got us boarding group 16 for Guardians, and we got up and ready with the intention of being there for rope drop. It was so crowded today. It took ages to get through security, and then another chunk of time to scan into the park, but we made it in by 8.30. We’d decided to head over to Soarin when our Guardians group was immediately called, so we went straight there. We walked straight into the first room on our own, with only about 10 other people following behind. It was great! The ride was as fabulous as always (we now know that if we take travel sickness tablets and avoid looking at the screens we don’t feel sick at all) and the Christmas song was cute, but I prefer the original soundtrack.

After we got off we got a few very squinty photos before heading across to Soarin. On the way we saw Pooh in his Santa hat, which was very cute.

We decided that we would head to World Showcase and see what time the booths opened. We were a bit early so went to meet Donald which was a lot of fun. We then jumped in the queue for Pluto on the way to meet Steve (who had gone for a coffee!) before starting the cookie trail.

Winnie wanted the Connections Cafe cookie, so we took a short cut through The Odyssey only to discover Santa Goofy was meeting there, which was a fabulous surprise.

We then spent a few hours in World Showcase, eating, watching the storytellers and listening to our favourites, The Voices of Liberty. The weather was beautiful, and despite the crazy crowds the queues all moved quickly and we had a really lovely time.

I’d been continually checking park pass reservations, and amazingly managed to switch tomorrow for Magic Kingdom, so we decided to hop over to Hollywood Studios to do the Christmassy bits there today instead. We went to the Frozen singalong first as it has a special Olaf finale with some of the Christmas themed Frozen songs, which the girls love. The girls then bought new Magic+ bands with leftover Christmas money.

Steve missed out on the Tap House in summer, so he headed there while we went to the Mickey shorts film, and then we all did One Man’s Dream before Slinky Dog in the dark. The combination of a few small beverages at Epcot and a beer flight at the Tap House put Steve in a rather merry mood, and the girls were in hysterics at him trying to learn their secret handshake, and then even more giggles followed when they saw our Slinky photo of him posing for the camera on the complete wrong side!!

We then strolled through the park looking at all the beautiful lights, before watching the Sunset Seasons Greetings show in the snow on Hollywood Boulevard.

We had planned to head back to Epcot to watch a bit of the Candlelight Processional from the back, see Spaceship Earth lit up and do Living with the Land in the dark, but we all decided we were tired and hungry, so headed back to the hotel. I mobile ordered bread service and children’s butter chicken from Sanaa to go on the way and Steve hopped off at Kidani to collect it whilst I headed back to Jambo House with the girls to get them ready for bed.
A towel picnic curry watching Bluey was the perfect way to end another magical day. Tomorrow we are off to Topolino’s before heading to Magic Kingdom to watch the Christmas parade again.
