Well, unfortunately Winnie was awake again all night, but the plus side was that we had no problem making rope drop at Hollywood Studios as we hadn’t slept!! We also cancelled our Oga’s Cantina and Sci-Fi reservations as we decided a day of plain food may help her to not worry about potentially feeling poorly so much (we were at the point of trying anything!)
We decided to drive as we hired a car at the last minute when prices dropped, and knew we’d be close to the park entrance with it being so early.

We had got a Lightning Lane for Rise of the Resistance so decided to rope drop Runaway Railway because the girls love it. Steve opted out to drink his much-needed morning brew instead, and when we got to the front, we realised we’d left Polly’s glasses with him, but despite it being blurry she still loved it. As we were on so early, we managed to get on Toy Story Mania in extra early morning hours as well. I actually beat Steve! As we got off Winnie said she got the worst score. I asked why and she explained that she got 69000 and that’s bad because people in her class at school are silly about the number 69. Now, we try to be very open with the girls and make them feel comfortable talking about anything. I was fine giving them an impromptu sex education lesson when it came up at bedtime a few weeks ago (thinking on the spot I ended up using Stitch, Topolino’s Donald, and regular Donald (similar DNA!) to represent the sperm and their ladybird nightlight as the egg. Maybe a bit unconventional but got the job done) but there was no way I was getting into that conversation so changed the subject as quickly as possible!

We headed to Galaxy’s Edge for Rise of the Resistance. I think it’s good to get this done early as it goes down a lot and we didn’t want to risk not doing it. We were a bit early so stopped for a quick photo pass photo. The photographer was a bit serious to start with but ended up spending ages with the girls (which meant a huge line formed behind us. Sorry anyone that was waiting!) and took loads of photos.

After Rise (which was just as amazing as we remembered) we decided to go to meet Chewbacca. The queue was really short, and the meet was a lot of fun. We also met BB8, but the girls decided against Vader as I think the Jedi training a few years back where Winnie ended up sobbing on stage as she was terrified has scarred her for life!

As we were heading to grab some lunch, we bumped into Jade, James, and baby Arlo again next to where Chip & Dale were having an acorn picnic, so had a little chat with them.
A quick grilled cheese sandwich later we decided to do the Mickey shorts movie before heading for our Slinky return time. However, Slinky was down so we went in One Man’s Dream. The girls love it and Polly wanted to stay and watch it again! We then went to watch Indiana Jones. The girls have never seen it properly as every single time we’ve tried it’s been cancelled due to weather or technical issues. We got in, sat down, and then they announced they could only do one of the scenes! Steve reckons we are cursed. Still, the girls enjoyed the part they saw. After the show (well, part-show) we decided to head to Rock & Rollercoaster which both had decided they wanted to go in. We got all the way to the front before they changed their minds and we had to leave!! They then got upset that they’d ruined the day (overly tired = overly emotional) but luckily Slinky was back up, and after that everyone was much happier.

We had all hit a tiredness wall so headed back to the room for some rest time. We hadn’t planned a meal but Winnie fancied the bread service (well, the bread) so we decided to go to the Sanaa lounge.

It’s the first time we’ve actually been out of the room for tea this trip, and it was a lovely night. The food was delicious (the fish with roasted cauliflower was amazing) and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

The girls were in bed and asleep before 8. Winnie said she thought she could sleep tonight without worrying (I think the promise of Coca Cola tomorrow if she wasn’t poorly may have influenced that!) but we shall see!
Tomorrow is Animal Kingdom and Moonlight Magic at Typhoon Lagoon if we can stay up late enough.
